Bubba Fett is a 4 piece band based out of Livingston, MT. Self-proclaimed “Space Cowboys”, their musical sound combines elements of country-rock, psychedelia, and blues into a sound that is wholly their own. Their songs incorporate stories and themes from the old west, science fiction and the supernatural that evoke a range of emotions in the listener. 

The band’s origins can be found in the husband/wife due Rich and Steph Clewis. Steph has been a guitar player since her teen years, but tiring of always playing other people’s songs struck out to write her own. Rich, an accomplished artist, musician, and long-time guitar player, creates Bubba Fett’s original electric sound and guitar leads. 

As the sound and style of the band evolved, Rich and Steph looked to complete their sound with a rhythm section of drums and bass. As luck would have it, Rich met Brain Rensvold at the local Livingston skate park, and it was an immediate bromance. Brian became Bubba Fett’s drummer not long after. As fate would have it, skateboarding also brought Raina Wallace, an 

accomplished local musician in her own right, to become Bubba Fett’s bass player. Steph reached out to Raina to play at a fundraiser for the skatepark, and after a few months of friendship and musical shenanigans, Raina joined the band as the bass player. Together the band creates a unique, mellow post-rock indie sound with mellow dreariness that will make you smile while wanting to cry. During a recent interview, one of the hosts said “it makes me happy, and I want to listen to it when I’m feeling sad…it makes me feel good.” 

You can experience Bubba Fett live in Livingston and Bozeman on a regular basis. The band is planning to expand live performance around Montana and beyond during the summer of 2020. The band released a single, Banshee, in November 2019. The single is available for download as well as on all major streaming platforms. A music video of Banshee will follow and the band
